Patricia Padgett Shealy

Patricia Padgett Shealy, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025 at the age of 79. Born on August 30, 1946, in Charleston, South Carolina, Patricia made a meaningful life rooted in love, learning, and laughter.

A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, Patricia devoted her career to teaching — a calling she embraced wholeheartedly. Her love for education, and for the countless students she guided along the way, was matched only by the joy she found in her family and in a life lived with purpose.

Patricia was known for her sharp mind, quick wit, infectious humor, and timeless beauty. She had a gift for making those around her feel valued and understood, and her presence brought warmth and brightness to every room she entered. Her family and friends will forever cherish memories of her brilliance, grace, and humor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Allen Shealy; daughters, Mary Shealy Boyd (Scott) and Andrea Shealy Seigler; and her cherished grandson, Rhys Thomas Boyd. Her family finds comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in each life she touched.

A private service will be held for the family. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.

Patricia’s life and legacy remain a testament to kindness, intelligence, and unwavering love — qualities that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
