Patricia S. Harley

Patricia Spilliards Harley, 88 passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Born July 28, 1936 in Jasper County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Marion Spilliards and Susie Nettles Spilliards.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 71 years, Willie Wallace Harley, and her precious grandson, John Harley Newell.

Mrs. Harley leaves behind to cherish her memory, a daughter, Kathie and Mike Newell; a son, Barry and Lisa Harley; grandchildren, Paul and Sarah Newell, Will and Marie Newell, Grayson and Cole Norwood; great-grandchildren, Ford, Garland, and Maggie Newell; Barrett Newell, and Wake Norwood.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the John Harley Newell Scholarship Fund at Newberry College, 2100 College Street, Newberry, SC 29108 or to the Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department, 431 East Church Street, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.
