Pat Shealy

Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Shealy, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026. She was born on March 11, 1949 in Fort Hood, Texas to the late Luther Butler and Myrtle Rae Burkett Bryan. Pat retired from the textile industry where she worked at Hartwell Indistries. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville where she loved to greet everyone. Pat found enjoyment in going to her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities and supporting them in anyway. She loved to travel to the mountains, especially going apple picking. Pat loved her family and enjoyed spending her time with them. She never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.   

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James “Jimmy” Shealy; son, Lee Shealy (Lee Ann); daughter, Tonya Meetze (BJ); brother, Kenneth Bryan (Laurie); sisters, Dorothy Parrish (David), Shirley Oswald (Billy), Frances Hall (Donnie), and Diane McClung; grandchildren, Aliyah Mulkey (Roman), Emma Shealy, Maci Shealy, Vance Oswald (Page), Madison Oswald, Nathan Meetze, and Kaitlyn Meetze; and great-grandchild, Maverick Oswald.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Wittenberg Lutheran Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Leonhardt and the Rev. Mike McClung officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel. Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission Friends of First Baptist Church of Leesville, 264 Main Street, Leesville SC 29070.
