Pamela Faulkner Shumpert of Redbank, SC was born November 4, 1952 in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Myrtle Lawrence. Pam passed peacefully with her family at her bedside on Sunday, March 15th at Agape Hospice House.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Albert “Wickey” Shumpert; two stepchildren, Jenny (Russell) Pauly and Jason Shumpert (Jennifer Varnadoe); grandchildren, Kaytlin and Dalton Shumpert, Russell and Sara Pauly; great-grandson, Kaminar Boone Counts due in September; brothers, Tommy (Sharon) Lawrence and Clarence “Bud” (Arlene) Faulkner; nieces, Denise “Nisie” (Jeff) Brazell and Linda Kay Luster; and nephews, Clifford Faulkner and Tom Lawrence II.
Pam was a devoted Christian and member of South Lexington Baptist Church for 15 years. She had recently started attending services at Springdale Baptist Church.
Pam is a graduate of Old Dominion College in VA where she earned her Bachelors in Education and a Masters degree in Business. She is a member of Mensa International, the largest and oldest High IQ Club in the world. Pam dedicated many years of service to NCR, Intel and recently retired from SamTec where she worked as an engineer.
Dirt Track racing was one of her favorite past times along with camping and spending time with her family and a large community of close friends. Pam was a very compassionate loving soul, whose legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.
Burial will be held at Southland Memorial Gardens at 2:00PM on Thursday, March 19, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future time. The family requests flowers be ordered from White House Florist.
