O. Wayne Russell

West Columbia- Funeral service for Otis Wayne Russell, 76, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church 1717 Platt Springs Rd. West Columbia, SC 29169 or Shriners Hospitals for Children 950 West Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.

Mr. Russell passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021. Born in Richland County, he was the son of the late John Otis and Lillie Pearl Russell. He graduated from Olympia High School in 1963. Mr. Russell was a member of Faith Lutheran Church where he served as church treasurer for 3 years, member and Past Master of Springdale Masonic Lodge #412, District Deputy Grand Master for the 8th Masonic District, and member and former director of Jamil Characters unit of the Jamil Shrine Center. He retired from U. S. Postal Service after 33 years of dedicated service.

Surviving include his sons, Todd Russell and Mike (Rhonda) Russell; grandchildren, Savannah (Coker) Plowden and Austin Russell; brothers, Bruce (Wanda) Russell and Charles (Mary) Russell; sisters, Terri Russell and Donna (Kaipo) Christian.

He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Sherrin Hite Russell.
