Noah Sanders Obituary

Noah Sanders, 84, of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026. He was born on February 14, 1942, in Ozark, Alabama, and lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering faith.

Noah was a gifted carpenter whose hands built far more than structures — they built a home filled with love, laughter, and stability. He was soft‑hearted, gentle, and compassionate, a man who spoke softly but carried deep wisdom. His faith in his Lord Jesus Christ guided him throughout his life, shaping the way he loved and served others.

He cherished traveling with his wife and children as they sang in churches and gatherings across the region, creating memories that became treasured family stories. Noah had an artistic side in his younger years, a playful sense of humor, and a collection of dad jokes that never failed to bring a smile. Those who knew him will remember his neat‑freak tendencies when his children were growing up — a trait that became part of the family’s shared laughter and lore.

Noah is survived by his children,  Tinkie McCurley (Carlton), Wanda Withers, Roger Locke (Cindy), Alex Haney (Sarah), Crystal Haney Simon (Mike), Angela Parker (Jack), and Keith Sanders; his siblings, Freddie Sanders (Janice), Carrie Jenkins, Carolyn Deal (Durward), Brenda Whitehead (David), and Debbie Summers (Pat); by a host of grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, LaVerne Sanders; his parents, Fred Grace and Leoma Sanders; and his siblings Curtis Sanders, Betty‑Faye Felner, Juanita Palmer, and Kathy Faircloth.

Above all, Noah loved his family deeply and unconditionally. His gentle presence, steady love, and quiet grace will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, who will forever carry his memory with love and gratitude.

“Little bird, little bird in the sky…”
