Nettie Bell Jumper Alewine Obituary

Nettie Bell Jumper Alewine, 89, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born January 21, 1935, to the late Harold Pierce Jumper and Bessie Rissinger Jumper.

Nettie spent her days as a homemaker. Her passions included her crafting and quilting, tending her flowers and koi pond, and her animals. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kirsten (Shumpert), Stephen Alewine, Brandy Alewine and Justin Bedenbaugh; great grandchildren, Tyler and McKenzi Shumpert, and Mason and Karter Hancock. She also leaves behind 6 brothers and sisters, Lathan Jumper, Zinon Jumper, Larry Jumper, Charles Jumper, Dale Gunter and Kathy Taylor. She goes on to reunite with husband, Norris “Pete” Alewine and sons, Sandy and Terry Alewine. She also reunites with her brother, J.P. Jumper.

Services for Mrs. Alewine are to be held Monday, April 1, 2024 at 4PM at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 1237 Calks Ferry Rd., Lexington SC 29072. Visitation with the family will follow in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
