Myrtle Faye Silvia (Faye), 80, of Lexington, SC passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, after a chronic illness. She was born on May 27, 1945 in Greenville, SC to Ruby "Mozelle" Harmon of Newberry, SC and Alfred Collins of West Virginia. Although her father by choice was Pete Harmon of Newberry.
Faye enjoyed a 40- year career caring for patients and their families as a licensed practical nurse before retiring. She was a graduate of the LPN program at what used to be called The Lexington Vocational Center in 1978.
Faye so truly loved driving her prized 2012 Camaro as evidenced from her several speeding tickets! She also enjoyed spending time with family especially her great grandchildren.
Faye is survived by her children, David G. Shealy of Newberry, Donnie H. Shealy and wife Yvonne, Darin S. Shealy and wife Beverly, David P. Shealy and wife Sherry, and her daughter, Rhonda S. McQuillen and her husband Drew.
Faye had nine grandchildren: (deceased Ashleigh R. Shealy), James A. Shealy (Nicole Green) of Pennsylvania, Kayla Shealy and Jacob Shealy of Prosperity, Valan Kornhaus (Steven) of Colorado, Donnie T. Shealy (Haley) of Travelers Rest, Alex Shealy of Charleston, Cameron Clark (Rachel) of Lexington, and Evan Clark (Hannah Grimsley) of Lexington; along with 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother, Ruby "Mozelle" Harmon; father, Pete Harmon; and beloved cousins.
Services will be at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, Friday, May 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m with a visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Lexington.
