Myrtice Virginia Reese

Myrtice Virginia Reese, 88, of West Columbia S.C. went on to be with the Lord on September 5, 2023. She was born in Swansea, S.C to the late Hoyt and Annie Whitaker.

A life long member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Myrtice loved her Lord and family with a passion. During her years of work, Myrtice was employed at the Babcock Center. In her younger years, Myrtice would provide Meals on Wheels to members of her surrounding community. For leisure, Myrtice loved spending time at the Pineridge Senior Center with her husband and friends.

Myrtice is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald F. Reese; her Son, Carey F. Reese; two sisters, Joyce Williams and Annette Chavis (Jimmy); and 10 grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her sons, Alfred and Mike Bennett; a daughter, Mary Jane Deshane; three brothers, Harmon, Jimmy and Laverne Whitaker.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church located at 546 Gardners Terrace Road, 29172, West Columbia South Carolina. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
