Muriel Walters Boette, 75, of West Columbia left this earth on April 22, 2022 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for all of eternity. Born in Iowa, Muriel was the daughter of Mike and Zanita Walters. As an adult, she dedicated her life to helping others. Muriel was first an x-ray technician but later found her calling and true passion in life, helping mothers and new born babies through her work with La Leche League, and later on, as a certified Lactation Consultant. Muriel was a member of River Crest Presbyterian Church where she took great pleasure in singing with their music ministry.
Survivors include her sisters, Robyn Walters and Cindy Johnson (Scottie); children, Deeanne Livingston, Robby Ross, Amy Abinsinguza (Samie), Michelle Ross, Jack Boette (Rose), David Boette (Kathy), Rob Boette (Leslie), Meg Thrasher (David); 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Muriel was predeceased by her father, Mike Walters; mother, Zanita Walters; husband, Dr. Richard Boette; son, Andrew Ross; son-in-law, Jimmy Livingston and granddaughter, McKinsey Cook.
The family will have a private memorial for Muriel at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
