Mollie Gantt Westenfeld

Mollie Gantt Westenfeld, “Mema”, 96, of Leesville, South Carolina entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Born in Fairview, South Carolina on April 15, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Sarah Gantt.

She was the cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren, Mickey (Liz), Sarah (Sam), Leslie (David), Leah (Nate), Allen (Rebecca), Kevin, and Shawn; twelve great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

Mollie was a dedicated seamstress, a proud devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Batesburg. Her green thumb, gardening skills, and sewing talents brought much joy to many.

She is also survived by her three children, Mickey Webber (Virgina), Dennis Westenfeld (Joyce), and Susan Racine; siblings, Jimmy Gantt, Joann Leaphart, and Dwight Gantt.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Theo Engelking, and Shelby Jean Kennedy.

Visitation will be held Friday. May 23, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at First Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2320 Cedar Grove Road, Leesville SC 29070 to honor Ms. Mollie.
