Michael “Mike” Francis Miller, a loving and devoted husband, son, and father, passed away in his sleep on March 11, 2026. Born on August 16, 1961, he was the son of Jeanette W. Miller and the late Edward L. Miller. A graduate of Lexington High School, Mike went on to work as an underwriting manager at Seibels Bruce and American Centennial Insurance Company. He later held multiple positions at Computer Sciences Corporation (DXC) before his retirement.
Mike was a generous, caring person with a great sense of humor. A talented cook, he liked trying new recipes and sharing his creations with family and friends. He was a passionate fan of the San Francisco Giants and the USC Gamecocks. He loved traveling to the beach and the mountains with his wife, as well as going with the guys to the beach for Super Bowl weekends. Some of Mike’s favorite ways to spend time were walking the boardwalk at Congaree National Park, going to Columbia Fireflies baseball games, and playing trivia with his wife and close friends. Mike also enjoyed watching sports and classic TV shows, especially his favorite, “The Andy Griffith Show.” .
Mike leaves behind his loving wife of 29 years, Nancy; his mother; his son, Brandon “Gabe” Miller (Dana); grandsons, Mason and Cameron; sister-in-law, Brenda (Marc); nephew, Lucas; and niece, Rachel; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his four-legged buddy, Buster.
He is predeceased by his father; and numerous extended family members.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Southland Memorial Gardens in the Chapel of Hope, located in West Columbia, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mike’s memory may be made to Riverbanks Zoo or an animal rescue organization of your choice. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Mike was devoted to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed
