Michael Shawn Looney

Leesville-Michael S. Looney was born on May 23, 1967, in Knoxville, TN., a son of the late Walter C. Looney, Jr. and Joyce Linnea Looney and lived most of his life in the Columbia and Batesburg-Leesville areas. Michael never met a stranger and was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.  He lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Michael loved racing motocross in his early life and was very talented and his passion as he got older was painting and he loved it. He was truly a blessing to this world. Surviving is his son Aaron Murphy; sisters, Denise Amick (Richard) and Debbie Roberts (Vince), Betsy Wells; brothers, Milton (Donna), and Mark Looney; uncle, Paul K. Looney (Susan), nieces, Kayla Schumpert (Timothy), Mellissa Kolb (Stephen), Breanna Amick, Amanda Wells; nephews, Blake Looney, Jason Amick, Andrew Looney (Breanna), and Matthew Looney. He had many great-nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. He was preceded by his parents and nephew Blake Amick. Service for Michael will be at Barr-Price Funeral Home in Batesburg Leesville on Thursday February 13, 2020 at 6:00pm with Rev. Beverly Taylor officiating. As Michael would say Who loves ya!
