Mike will be remembered for his big heart, generous spirit, and love of the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Micah Pace (husband, Chris and sons, Grayson and Zachary); son, Tristan Chavis (daughter, Isabella); and stepson, Travis Evans (wife, Samantha and children, Kaylynn, Kinsley, Zachary and Taylor); his siblings, Butch Chavis (Debbie), Randy Jackson (Bob), Jimmy Chavis, Darrell Chavis (Fayne), Terry Chavis (Susan), and Sherry Crouch (Bill); as well as many nephews and nieces that meant so much to him.
He was predeceased by his wife, Kay Chavis; and sister, Megan Chavis.
Mike’s big heart and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held 4:00 pm Friday, November 7, 2025 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2003 Charleston Hwy, Cayce, SC 29033. If you would like to send flowers, please have them sent to the church after 12:00 pm on Friday. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
