Merlyn T Watkins

Leesville-Services for Merlyn Taylor Watkins, 91, will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Wittenberg Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wittenberg Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 3447 Leesville, SC  29070.  Barr-Price Funeral Home, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.

  Mrs. Watkins died Monday, May 23, 2022.  Born in Gilbert, she was a daughter of the late William Perry and Huldah Lee Bouknight Taylor, was a member of Wittenberg Lutheran Church and retired from Twin City Motors as a bookkeeper.

  Survivors include her husband of 72 years, John Watkins, a daughter, Jan Barnes (Sam), brother, Syrembia Taylor, grandchildren, Samantha Trotter (Justin), and Perry Barnes (Jaime) great-grandchildren, Jack Henning, Kai Trotter, Sawyer Barnes, Cohen Barnes, and Ava Jane Trotter.

  She was predeceased by sisters, Eva Lean Smith and Janelle Rauch, brothers, Archie, Talmar, Carlisle and Hubert Taylor.
