Frank served in the United States Army for approximately 2 years. He began his career at the University of South Carolina as an electrician. He spent the next 31 years at Carolina Eastman Chemical Company where he held many positions and made some wonderful close friends. He also developed a love of training and teaching. Upon retiring from Carolina Eastman Chemical Company he spent the next 20 years as an adjunct faculty member in the Corporate and Continuing Education division at Midlands Technical College.
Frank was an active member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, usher and Deacon. Frank loved serving and he loved teaching Sunday School. He also loved passing out candy to the children at Holland Avenue. It gave him great joy and delight seeing those smiling faces of those children. He loved the game of golf. He could always be found on a golf course with his golfing buddies. He enjoyed the game but more importantly enjoyed the friendships and the time spent together. Frank always said there is no greater blessing than your family. Frank deeply loved his family, his wife, children, sons in law, grandchildren, great grandchild and his extended family. He enjoyed all things that had to do with his family. He loved going to the beach with them, watching and going to any event that involved his grandchildren. You could find him riding bikes with them, going to Disney World, throwing the football, watching any of their sports events and going to water parks. He was a wonderful husband, father, papa, friend and neighbor and was loved by so many people. If you ask any of our family members they would tell you that he gave the best bear hugs of anyone. He touched many lives and we will forever cherish him and the memories. Frank will be remembered as a man of faith and a life lived well.
