Mendle Thomas Hoffman, Jr. peacefully passed away December 17, 2025.

He was the son of the late Mendle Thomas Hoffman, Sr. and Dorethea Cameron Hoffman.

Mendle lived most of his life in Columbia, South Carolina. He proudly served in the United States Army during Desert Storm as a medic. Mendle worked for many years at Fort Jackson Army Air Force Exchange Service.

Mendle is survived by his mother, Dorethea Cameron Hoffman, and brother, William Samuel Hoffman. He was predeceased by his father, Mendle Thomas Hoffman, Sr. and sister Tommie Ann Hoffman. Mendle was well-loved and will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Thursday, January 8, 2026 with military honors at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church at 500 S. Kilbourne Road, Columbia, SC 29205 or The American Red Cross Central South Carolina Chapter at 2751 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
