Funeral services for Melveline Moore, 95 of Lexington will be held 2pm Tuesday July 14th, 2026 at Edmund First Baptist Church in Pelion with Pastor Brandon Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm prior to the service at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Moore was welcomed into her heavenly home on July 9th, 2026. Born April 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Roy Streible and Anna Augustine Streible of Louisville, Kentucky. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and an active member of Edmund First Baptist Church. Her church family brought her so much love and joy, and embraced her as their own family. Her life was truly marked by love, kindness, and faith.
She is survived by her children, Roy Moore (Donna), Walter Moore (Deborah), Frances McWilliams and Gary Moore (Linda); 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Joseph Moore; son, Charles Moore; son in-law, Bob McWilliams; sisters, Doris Davis, Mildred Napier, and Norma Jean Dossey.
She was a woman of grace and steadfast devotion, and her days upon this earth were marked by faith, kindness and a quiet strength that blessed all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and will be treasured in the hearts of those who survive her.
