Melisa Anne Burris

Melisa Anne Burris, 49, was born on November 25, 1972 in Columbia SC. She passed away May 31, 2022.

Missy was a kind hearted woman who loved to love. She absolutely adored babies and animals. Missy was full of compassion and wanted the best for everyone around her. She was always helping those she knew in any way she could. Missy was very supportive of the ones she loved and genuinely cared about others happiness. Missy was a beautiful person inside and out. She was loved deeply by many and is missed beyond anything words can describe. 

She is survived by her children, Timothy Herring, Amber Herring, and Nichole Stafford; grandson, Xander Moody; brothers, Gene Sharpe, Joey Sharpe, and Chris Luckey; sister, Jessie Joye (Jason Evans); grandmother, Peggy Hixon; father-in-law (Dad), Andy Stafford; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Missy was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Burris; mother, Margaret Hixon Stafford; sister, Tina Stabler and brother, Jeremy Sharpe.

A celebration of life will be held 6:30 pm Saturday June 11, 2022 at The Vines of Lexington. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
