Max Burgoyne, Jr. Obituary

Max Harold Burgoyne Jr. passed away April 15, 2022.  Max was born to Max and Phyllis Burgoyne in Salina, KS on October 1, 1957.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church and graduated from South High School in Wichita, KS and attended Kansas State University.

Boy Scouts was a big part of Max's life. He spent many a summer working at camp.  Max was an Eagle Scout and member of Order of the Arrow.

Max enjoyed traveling, gardening and probably his favorite, cooking.  He was an outstanding cook! Max was a firm believer in helping others whether it be with financial support to various organizations or physically helping others as he did with Home Works of America.

Max worked in the technology and manufacturing industry for many years. At the time of his passing, Max was Director Information Technology for Flex.

Max is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rita, and his beautiful Border Collie, Roxanne; sisters, Barbara (Lee) Hankins, Brenda Edgington, and Becky Burgoyne; niece, Lauren Edgington; nephews, Cooper (Paige) Edgington, Gary (Cheryl) Hankins, Craig Hankins and Chris Hankins.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of MUSC and Charleston EMS for the care they gave to Max.
