Maurice Walston Barfield, Jr.

Maurice (Rod) Walston Barfield 80, of Gaston, South Carolina passed away on January 14, 2020 at home.

Born on December 10, 1939 to Maurice Walston Barfield, Sr. and Helen Moody Barfield. He was one of four children. Mr. Barfield served in the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1964. He was employed by Budweiser of Columbia and retired in June of 2017 after 47 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Shriners and attended Eau Clair High School.

Mr. Barfield loved to play golf, go camping, fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his long time spouse, Ruby Curry, his brother, James Barfield, his three sons, Gary Barfield (Marcie), Stacy Barfield (Tracey), and Tony Barfield (Justin), and his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday January 18, 2020 at 11AM at Barr–Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, Lexington, South Carolina. Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2020 from 6PM-8PM at Barr Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.
