Graveside services for Maudine Frick Taylor, 93, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Ridge Crest Memorial Park with the Rev. Lisa Isenhower officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Trent Ayers, Edward Frick, Garrett Banks, Marcus Banks, Clint Hallman, Mitchel Banks, and Richard Walls. The family will receive friends after the service with a reception to follow at the home of Pam and Todd Banks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 308 Church St., Summit SC 29070 or to Faith Lutheran Church, 113 N. Oak St., Batesburg SC 29006. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor passed away Monday, December 8, 2025. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie W. and Girlie Mae Smith Frick. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where she was a Luther League Leader and kept the nursery. She retired from C.W. Haynes with 58 years of service as Assistant Vice President.
Surviving are “her children” Carey Frick (Mary), Jane Ayers, and Pam Banks (Todd), sisters-in-law, Lavonia O. Frick and Nan P. Frick, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. “Billy” Taylor and brothers, Pasco, Woodrow, Labon “Jack”, Leonard “Lent”, Roy, Paul Bruce, and Harold Frick.
