Mary Jane Oswalt

Leesville-Graveside services for Mary Jane Matthews Oswalt, 79, will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday at Ridge Crest Memorial Park with the Rev. Elton Dunbar officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church.  Barr-Price Funeral Home, Historic B-L Chapel, is assisting the family.

  Mrs. Oswalt died Monday July 27, 2020.  Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin H. and Lillie Mae Burkett Matthews.  She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and was retired from Union Switch and Signal.

  Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Carlon R. Oswalt, sons, Randell Oswalt and Jamie Oswalt, daughter, Robin O. Wofford, brothers, Hoyt, John, Larry and Jimmy Matthews, sisters, Ann Amick and Carolyn Reeder, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

  She was predeceased by  a daughter, Sharon Charisse Oswalt and a sister, Betty Rankin.
