Mary B. Steele

Lexington – Mary Burkett Steele, 84, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021. She was born January 28, 1937 in Leesville, SC to the late Maxie Ezell and Kathleen Hartley Burkett.
 Surviving include her sons, Glenn (Pam) Steele and Barry (Kaye) Steele; daughter, Kellie (Tommy) Howell; brothers, Maxie Burkett and Charles (Mary) Burkett; sisters, Shirley Burkett, Brenda (Jimmy) Christopher, Kathy Fournier, Patsy Kiser; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kristi, Justin (Haylee) Steele, Jamie,  Tommy (Salinda) Howell, and Cole Riddlehoover; and great grandchildren, Gabby, Ashley-Kae, Abbie, Kallie Jane, Hollie, Brantly Howell and Monroe Steele.
She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Steele.
Mary was a member of Lexington Baptist Church and retired from Lexington Sportswear.
 Graveside services for Mary will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 10, 2021 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery, 1273 Calks Ferry Road, Lexington, SC 29072 with the Rev. Dan Williams officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the sanctuary of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lexington Baptist Church Preschool, 308 East Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
