Marvin T. (Ted) Neeley

West Columbia-Marvin T. (Ted) Neeley, 76, went to meet his Lord and personal Savior on Monday, June 20, 2022. Ted loved his family, especially his wife, daughter and son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Ted loved many hobbies, such as spending time on a pier at the beach, king fishing with his fellas, and looked forward to his annual May and October trips. When hunting season came around, you could bet he was in a deer stand somewhere.

He supported all events that his grandkids were involved in, from marching band and color guard competitions, to archery tournaments; he was thrilled with all the church activities the kids were involved in.

Ted never met a stranger; once you met him you were a friend for life. He loved people, his church, and his Lord and Savior, and family. Ted was a jack of all trades; he was a great salesman, in that was what he did most of his life. He was currently working at the Liberty House downtown on Assembly Street.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Maida Sue Alleman Neeley; daughter, Stephanie Neeley Toole (Rob); grandchildren, Ian and Neeley Toole; brother, Glenn Neeley (Jeannette); brother-in-law, Tommy Alleman; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Claytor and Susie Neeley; son, Todd Neeley; brother and sister-in-law, James and Sue Neeley; and sister-in-law, Linda Alleman.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service and following the service at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church 2003 Charleston Hwy Cayce, SC 29033 or to Old Lexington Baptist Church 800 Old Lexington Road Leesville, SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
