Marvin J Smith

Lexington-Marvin J. Smith, Jr., 78, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021. He was born in Concord, NC, a son of the late Marvin Joseph and Lois Walker Smith.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Nazareth Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church, 1800 Nazareth Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Smith retired from the US Army as an E-7. He was a life member of VFW Post 8738 and was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.

Surviving include his wife, Marie Amick Smith; son, Joel Smith (Teresa), step-son, Craig Ballington (Sherry); brother, Tommy Smith (Carla); grandson, Taylor Smith; two step-grandchildren, Shelby and Jacob Ballington; and great-grandson, Brently Smith. He was predeceased by his son, Chris Smith.
