Marvin L. Pound, Jr.

Marvin L. Pound, Jr., 74, of Gaston, SC went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. He was born in Columbia, SC to the late Marvin L. Pound, Sr. and Mary Bland Pound.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and granddaddy. He was very active in his community and a faithful member of Gaston First Baptist Church.

Marvin Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jane; sons, Noel (Crystal) Pound and Michael Pound; daughter, Megan Roe (Nich); daughter-in-law, Patricia Pound; sister, Beth (Warren) Cope; brother, Charles (Brenda) Pound; grandsons, Brian and Carsyn Pound; granddaughters, Amber and Ashby Pound and Macie Lee Roe.

He was preceded in death by his son Brian Pound.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Gaston on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Rex Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Barr-Price Funeral Home is assisting the family.
