Mark Sigg, 66, passed away December 27, 2025, in Lexington, SC, with his wife by his side. He was a beloved husband, bonus dad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. We rejoice today that Mark now lives with his Savior and has been reunited with many loved ones who celebrated and welcomed him home.
Mark was born in Easley, SC, on September 19, 1959, to his late parents, Manfred “Fred” Sigg and Rebecca “Betty” Hallman Sigg. He had a happy and active childhood growing up in Augusta, GA, with his younger brother David and numerous friends. They often played in the creek behind their family home, golfed, among many other hobbies. Mark grew to become a respectable young man and is still today described as kind, calm, and having a sweet spirit and high integrity. Although he did not have biological children, Mark had unconditional love for his nephews William and Greyson, and dearly loved his bonus daughter Gabby who shared this love for him. Mark was grateful to have known his bonus son Dalton, even though for only a short time; the two shared a special affection. Mark met the love his life Lynn late in life. The couple had a magical connection and shared a beautiful and happy marriage for 7 1\2 years in Lexington, SC, where they lived with their much-loved dogs Lily and Sissy. Mark’s kindness and gentle nature inspired many and will always be fondly remembered.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his bonus son, Dalton Lugo. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Lugo Sigg; bonus daughter, Gabrelle Helms (Chris/Anorah); brother, David Sigg (Karen); nephews, William Sigg (Brittany/Emma) and Greyson Sigg (Katie/Bates), and numerous cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held 11am on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC. Family and friends will be received immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to be made to St. David Lutheran Church in Mark’s honor, which will be used for the Wee Care and Snack Pack ministries.
