Marjorie D. Padgett

Funeral service for Marjorie D. “Margie” Padgett, 96, will  be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Round Hill Baptist Church, Lexington, SC.  Burial will follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at  the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church Manna House, 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC 29072. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.

Mrs. Padgett passed away peacefully December 9, 2025.  Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Beech and Ellen Davis.  She was predeceased by her husband, Vivian D. “Brother” Padgett; her siblings; and one grandchild. 

Margie was devoted to the ministry of Round Hill Baptist Church from its beginning and enjoyed being a part of the Faith Sunday School Class. She served as Church Secretary from 1981 to 1994.  She was greatly loved by her family and greatly loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Harold Padgett (Sandra), Larry Padgett (Gayle-late), Judy Hyatt (Harvey), Jeannine Spradlin (Mike) and Vivian Price (Jim); 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
