Marilyn S Smith

Graveside memorial service for Marilyn Spilliards Smith, 87, will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Ridge Crest Memorial Park (327 Summerland Ave., Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006) with the Rev. Dennis Metts officiating.   The family will receive friends following the service.  Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Smith passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021.  Born in Ridgeland, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Marion Spilliards and Susie Nettles Spilliards.  She was a member of St. Paul’s Church and retired from J.B. Martin.

Surviving are a son, Mike Smith; sister, Patsy Harley (Willie); grandchildren, Marion Smith (Michelle) and Brianna S. Metts (Ben); great-grandchildren, Trey and Emily Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, James Ralph Smith, Sr. and a son, Jimmy Smith.
