Marie Leonard

A Funeral Mass for Marie Leonard, 85, will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2022 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Columbia. Burial will be held 3 p.m. at Sharon UMC Cemetery in Greer, SC following the service. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Marie graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and studied at New York City College. As a lady of Catholic faith, she was heavily involved in her church. She loved to volunteer and help out those in need and children especially. She was also a part of various church groups and donated to charities regularly. She put others ahead of herself and was loved by all who met and knew her. Ms. Leonard enjoyed gardening, and with her Italian heritage, she was a fabulous cook. Her greatest accomplishments were her two grandchildren and her son. She was a very devoted wife to her loving husband, a wonderful mother, a proud grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son, Robert William Leonard, Jr. (Susan); grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” William Leonard, III and Joseph Stanton Corley Leonard; and brother, Al Adinolfi (Donna).

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert William Leonard, Sr.; and sisters, Rosalee Arena and Pauline Bannon.
