Margaret Clevenger Obituary

Margaret Ellen (Faircloth) Clevenger, 85, of Aberdeen, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on May 18, 2020 after a brief illness.

Margaret born on October 13, 1934 to the late James Wesley Faircloth and Virginia Dent Faircloth and was the oldest daughter of eleven children.

She was a part of the local church body at the Bible Tabernacle in Southern Pines, NC for more than fifty years. Margaret loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. She lived her life to serve others while raising four daughters as a single mother. One of her many gifts was hospitality and she found great joy in opening her home to young people, friends and family for meals and fellowship over the years. Margaret also enjoyed cooking, sewing and working in her garden. She was a true example of a virtuous Proverbs 31 women.

Margaret was a talented seamstress and worked at Pinebluff Products for 17 years and later nannied for small children and cared for the elderly in their homes.  Margaret was affectionately called Nanny by her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and many others who loved her greatly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Teresa (Teri) Annette Clevenger Cameron and her siblings: Nancy Edwards, Felton Faircloth, Joyce Hogg and Dorothy Clevenger.

She is survived by her three daughters: Brenda Hill of Aberdeen, NC; Wanda H. King (Sam) of Prosperity, SC; and Cathy H. Yonish (Kenny) of Whispering Pines, NC.

She was also survived by 7 grandchildren, Erin, Karin, Lesley, Ashley, Jay, Traci, Sydni, 6 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: James S. Faircloth, Sylvia Polston, Tommie Currie, Donald Faircloth, Hazel Jones and Betsy Faircloth.

A graveside service for family will be held on date Sunday, May 31, 2020, at The Bible Tabernacle church cemetery located at 1323 Rays Bridge Road, Whispering Pines, NC, 28327.
