Madelyn Moore Obituary

Irmo - Madelyn Anastasia Moore (formerly known as Brenda Kay Moore), 57, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 27, 2018, ending her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).  Madelyn was born on September 22, 1960, in Greenville, South Carolina.  She graduated from Airport High School where she was very active in the marching band and played the clarinet.

She is predeceased in death by her father, Raymond Moore, and sister, Patsy Moore.  She is survived by her mother, Ruby Aliene Davis Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Faith Moore; four daughters and two son-in-laws: Bridget and Marvin Berry, Lindsay and Mark Roscoe, Meagan Ross, and Charlesia Booker; and two grandchildren: Reagan Roscoe and Mason Berry.  Madelyn was a former rural postal carrier and was an avid gardener.  Her greatest joys in life came from her faith in God,  her puppy, Bookah, and the love she had for all her girls and her new granddaughter.  The family would like to thank David Snipes, Christina Chambers, Deloris Miller, Wanda Grubbs, and Leslie Williams for all their love and support.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Association.
