Lucy Johnson Rollison

Lucy Johnson Rollison, 85, of Lexington, SC, passed away on December 23, 2022. She was born on March 5, 1937, in Pittsylvania County, VA and was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee Johnson and the late Sallie Robertson Johnson.

Lucy retired from Galey and Lord, formerly Burlington Industries, after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening, puzzles, and spending time with her grandson.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rollison Moore (David), and one grandson, James Reese Moore, of Lexington; brothers, Roy Johnson (Debbie) of Gladys, VA, and J.C. Johnson of Hurt, VA; sisters, Mary J. Hudgins of Lowry, VA and Grace J. Brown (Jim) of Waynesboro, VA, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her husband, James Melvin Rollison; two brothers, Ralph Johnson and Curtis Johnson; three sisters, Dorothy J. Moye, Peggy J. Moon, and Nancy Johnson.  

A graveside service will be conducted 11:00am Friday, April 28, 2023 at Green Hill Cemetery in Altavista, VA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
