Lorena Kelly Obituary

Lorena Laney Kelly, 78, of Gilbert, SC passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. She was born in Florence, SC to the late Charles R. and Walker Jane Allen Kelly.

Lorena is survived by her loving husband, James Edward Kelly, Sr.; son, James Edward Kelly, Jr.; daughter, Mary Jane Kelly Upson; brothers, Charles and Randy Laney; granddaughters, Hannah Jane and Samantha Grace Upson; and grandson, James Edward Kelly, III.

She was a teacher in church and school. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from USC. She loved hiking, bicycling, and activities around her Lake Murray home.

A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church or Agape Hospice. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.
