Lonnie William Wages, III

Lexington – Lonnie William Wages, III, 61, went to be with The Lord Our God on September 12, 2019, surrounded by his family.

Lonnie was born on November 19, 1957 in Columbia, SC to the late Lonnie W. Wages, Jr. and Joyce Harper Wages. He was a master Industrial Electrician with the 776 Hall of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Wages enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a self-taught, brilliant guitarist.  He loved his dog/buddy, Jack; they were inseparable.  He also loved riding his Harley and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Carmen Thompson Wages; son, Gabriel William Wages; brother, Joseph Lee Wages; sister, Katherine Gardner Gonzales; brothers-in-law, Larry Thompson (Annette), Steve Thompson (Robbin); and sister-in-law, Robin Hollis Thompson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Wages would like to send a special Thank You to sister-in-law, Robin Thompson and special friends, Stephanie Sox, and Jennifer and Gregg Cockfield for being her rock through this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior, at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Roberton, Jr. officiating.
