Lois Rapp Burton

Lois Rapp Burton, of Lexington, SC, entered the church triumphant on the 10th  of November 2015, at the age of 82. She was born to Otto and Kathryn (Campbell) Rapp on April 25, 1933, in Teaneck, New Jersey.

She graduated from Cazenovia College with a degree in Fine Arts, and gave birth to her son, John Burton, Jr. in  1956. Lois had three daughters after him: Patti Sue, Michelle, and Denise. The family moved frequently, getting to experience life all over the world; everywhere from Paris, France, to Orange Park, FL, and even San Juan Capistrano, CA, before finally settling down in Doraville, GA. Lois moved to Lexington, SC in September 2009, to be closer to her daughter's family. She lived in Southlake Village, where she made many loving and supportive friends.

Lois was a vibrant, loving, artistic woman with a great sense of humor, and was a blessing to everyone she met. She was a proud member of Providence Lutheran Church, where her daughter is pastor, and where she enjoyed fellowship and friends. Lois loved attending her granddaughter's orchestra concerts, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts. Survivors are her four children, John (Susan) Burton, Jr., Patti Sue (Russell) Pye, Michelle (Craig) DeMunbrun, Denise (Harry) Pikramenos, along with numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Rd., Lexington, on Friday, November 13th, from 6 until 8 pm. The funeral services will be held at Providence Lutheran Church, 840 Old Chapin Rd., Lexignton, SC, 29072 on Saturday, November 14th, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
