Lisa H Cason

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Lisa Cason, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on September 21, 1966, Lisa departed from this life on May 30, 2026, surrounded by love and the grace of God.

Lisa was a woman of deep faith and a joyful spirit who loved Jesus wholeheartedly. She lived her life with kindness, warmth, and a generous heart that made everyone around her feel welcome and cared for. Her presence was a source of comfort, laughter, and strength to her family and friends.

She was a devoted wife to Tony Cason, a loving mother to Garnett (Lexi) and Jarrett (Kailey), and a cherished sister to Lori Heslewood and Bear Heslewood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Heslewood and Debbie Heslewood, and her brother, Tony Heslewood. Lisa took great pride in her family and poured her heart into every role she held, but being "Mimi" was her greatest joy. She cherished every moment spent with her three grandsons.

Lisa enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, and spending every moment possible in nature. She loved all things Alabama athletics and could often predict a ruling before the referee or umpire made the call. Lisa truly appreciated life's simple pleasures — time with family and friends, especially when preparing a delicious meal for loved ones or challenging friends to a spirited game of Rook.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and the way she made people feel seen and loved. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is whole and healthy again in the presence of Jesus.

A celebration of life service will be held at Brown Chapel (2700 Bush River Rd., Columbia, SC 29210) on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leptomeningeal Cancer Foundation. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
