Linda Smith Cauley

Funeral services for Linda Smith Cauley, 76, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 1, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel.

Ms. Cauley was welcomed to her heavenly home on Thursday May 29th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 10th, 1948 to Heber and Merle Thoreau Smith in Lexington County, SC. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Samaria Baptist Church and retired from Big Blue Marble Gilbert where she took care of the babies in the nursery for many years. 

Linda, a sweet and selfless lady, was a daughter, sister, "Momma", "Grandmommy", "Great Grandmommy", sweetie and friend to everyone. She loved sitting in her outdoor oasis, feeding and watching the birds, collecting chickens, spending countless hours on the phone with her sister Barbara, watching her son Todd farm the land, spending time with "my Jimmy" her sweetie, gathering for family time, thrifting with "my girls" and so much more. She loved everyone and wanted everyone to "love one another". 

Linda is predeceased by her parents Heber and Merle (Bouknight) Smith, sister Betty and Bob Weaver, brother in law Pat Patterson. Surviving are her sweetheart, Jimmy Johnson, son Todd Ballington (Patty), daughter Crystal Rodgers (Troy), sister Barbara Patterson, brother Wayne Smith (Donna), grandchildren Lisa (Matthew), Stephanie, Savannah (Glen), Matthew, Cindy (Ronald) and Brandy (Jason) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great grand children. 

We would like to thank LMC 8th floor North Tower nurses, doctors, techs and everyone who helped with her care during her hospital stay.
