Linda Gammons Obituary

Linda Rice Gammons, 72 of Gilbert, SC passed away on July 25th at Lexington Medical Extended Care.   Linda was born in Lexington County, the  daughter of James W. and Mildred McCartha Rice. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.    Barr-Price Funeral Home, Historic B-L Chapel, is assisting the family.  Linda was predeceased by her father and mother and her husband Bobby Lee Gammons.  Linda is survived by her daughter Ronda Smith-Allen (Michael) of Fort Mill, SC and son Dean Smith of Gilbert, SC., grandchildren, Haley Shealy ( Donnie) of Lexington, SC,  Dalton Smith of Gilbert, SC, Lila Thompson, Michael Jr. and Jaymes Allen, all of Fort Mill, SC and great grandchild Liam Shealy.  Also, brothers Wayne Rice (Marisol) of Blythewood, SC and Haskell Rice, of Gilbert, SC.  Her nieces Jennifer and Sarah Rice, of Queens, NY, her sister cousins, Barbara Kneece of Gilbert, SC , Vickie Rice Dimmette of Winston Salem, NC and several great friends who always looked after her.   Linda was a vivacious and a sassy lady and we will miss her tremendously.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Youth, 246 St. Paul’s Church Road, Gilbert, SC 29054.  The family will hold a public graveside service Wednesday, July, 29, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 246 St. Paul's Church Road, Gilbert, SC.
