Ms. Cassidy was a longtime member of Red Bank Baptist and Rena Steele's Sunday School Class. She was referenced as being one of the "Golden Girls" by a special friend and longtime fellow member. She was involved in numerous ministries through the years, however most blessed by being able to help create and buy and send cards to fellow members of Red Bank and especially the homebound. Ms. Cassidy also enjoyed preparing food for funeral meals for church members and loved ones, mac and cheese being her specialty. Any event or ministry that had a need for candy, miscellaneous supplies or donations she was more than willing to help in any way possible.
Ms. Cassidy's favorite thing to do was spend time with family. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was in the insurance industry retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield after working well past full retirement age. Let's remember her enjoyment of traveling. She has visited many places here and abroad, however anyone that knew Linda knew that Atlantic City and Cherokee were her favorites. The best part was that she shared those experiences with family which made those travels extra special to her. Sharing time over breakfast with her special cousins and Aunt on Saturday mornings was a regular thing to do for many years. She loved them like sisters.
Linda was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Donnie M. Cassidy; her sister, Donnelle Windham and brother-in-law. Ollie Windham; brothers, William (Billy), Jimmy, Charles (Charlie) and Gene Crumpton; and her son-in-law, Robbie Erwin.
Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly C. Erwin; son, Gary T. Cassidy; grandchildren, Cody L. Erwin, Tyler W. Erwin (Jessica), Logan C. Erwin, Brandon J. Johnson and Clay T. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends, however overjoyed to be reunited with those that have gone before her.
