Lena F. Spires

Lena Frances Spires, 72, of West Columbia, SC passed away on January 13, 2020.  She was born February 15, 1947 to the late Holley and Ruby Hancock.

 Lena was a faithful employee for 25 years at the West Columbia Zesto’s.  She had a deep love for music and dancing.   Lena loved her family, her granddaughter, and her dog, Minnie.  Anyone that would drop by for a visit with Lena always left with a treat, especially fruit.

 Lena is survived by her son, Tracy (Tonya) Taylor; brother, Ronnie Hancock; and sister, Bonnie; granddaughter, Kayla Lyons; great-grandchildren, Haven Miller and Haylee Godwin; and by her very spoiled 4-legged baby, Minnie, who will miss her very much. 

 Lena is preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years Bobby Gene Taylor, Sr., her son Bobby Gene “Bobo” Taylor, Jr., and her brother Johnny Hancock.

 A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel with Pastor David Spears officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
