LeSha Taylor Hallman Obituary

Mrs. LeSha Taylor Hallman, 65, of Gilbert was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 31, 2026. She was born on November 13, 1960 in Columbia, South Carolina to Berley and Janie Taylor. LeSha worked for many years at Gilbert Middle School helping remedial students in the computer lab until her retirement in 2012. She loved the Lord and would always share the word of God through her testimony and card ministry that she faithfully continued until the end of her life. LeSha was devoted to her faith, and a member of First Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday school teacher, worked with the youth, and led the puppet ministry.

She prioritized her family and loved them with all of her heart. From games of Trouble with family to traveling the state with her husband to watch the grandchildren play ball, LeSha knew how to live in the moment. She loved to go shopping and never missed a clearance rack in every store she visited. LeSha enjoyed going out to eat and fellowshipping with her close friends. She touched many lives during her time on this earth, and will always be remembered as a strong, selfless, child of God who lived in the moment and put others first. Surviving are her parents, Berley and Janie Taylor; husband of 48 years, Tim Hallman; son, Jason Hallman (Barbie); daughter, Rebekah Johnson (Rock); brother, Tom Taylor (Bonnie); and grandchildren, Kirkland Craven, Kaylee Craven, Carson Hallman, Brooks Johnson, Bennett Johnson, and Brody Johnson.

Funeral services to celebrate the beautiful life of LeSha will be conducted at 3:00pm. Sunday, June 7th, 2026 at First Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mendle Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jason Littlefield, Cayden Littlefield, Kyle Hallman, Carter Hallman, Kirkland Craven, Charlie Combs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Samaritan’s Purse. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is assisting the Hallman family with arrangements.
