Larry Ray Taylor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our brother, Larry Ray Taylor, who went to the open arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 26, 2025.  Larry, the fifth child of the late Enos Neri and Ora Daphne Kyzer Taylor, was born July 14, 1946 in West Columbia.

For many years, Larry was in the trucking industry, having retired from Standard Trucking Company.  An animal lover, Larry loves his many cats and also fed many raccoons.

Larry is survived by his son Clinton Neal Taylor (Lenna).  He is also survived by his brother, Charles Marion Taylor; sisters: Mary Ellen (Mickey) Taylor Geiger (John), Sarah Taylor Collins, and Betty Jean Taylor Senn (David).  He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Taylor Lee and her husband Raymond.

Funeral services will be held on July 9, 2025 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the funeral service to begin at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church cemetery in West Columbia with Rev. Rus Stilwell and Rev. Wade Roof, III, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC, 29169, or to a charity of your choice.
