LaRetta "Retta" T. Keisler

LaRetta “Retta” Keisler, 80, of Gilbert, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was a longtime member of First Calvary Baptist Church. During her working years, she worked in the family business at Taylor’s Poultry Place, then Monroe Calculator Company, and lastly for Sox Well & Pump Company before retiring. She was a loving and friendly soul to anyone she ever knew. Her love for her Lord, family, and friends was known by all.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Larry J. Keisler; sons, Drayton (Elena) Keisler and Bryan (Lisa) Keisler; grandsons, Bryce (McKenzie) Keisler, Christopher Keisler, and Drayton Keisler; great granddaughters, Hailie Keisler and Reagan Keisler; brothers, Drayton (Nella) Taylor and Luther (Wanda) Taylor of Lexington, SC; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, D.C. and Kathleen Taylor of Lexington, SC; and special nephew, Daniel Luke Taylor.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at First Calvary Baptist Church, 2320 Cedar Grove Road, Leesville, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Calvary Baptist Church, 2320 Cedar Grove Road, Leesville, SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
