Kelly D McLendon

West Columbia - Kelly Dean McLendon, 47, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel; 609 Northwood Road, Lexington, SC, 29071. 

Mr. McLendon was born July 5, 1975 in Marion, SC. He was a drywall technician. Kelly loved his children and his family dearly. He was very strong willed and would not hesitate to give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and he loved to see people laugh.

Kelly was predeceased by his dad and mom, Jerome P. and Virginia E. McLendon and brother, Tracy L. Chavis.

Kelly is survived by his mother, Kathy D. Hill; sons, Kelly J. McLendon and Harris Taylor McLendon-Donahue; daughter, Cassie Marlow; sisters, Virginia Richards (Tommie), Bobby Sue McLendon; brothers, Larry Lewis Wallace (Melisa), Christopher Frazier (Marisa), John Ponder, James Ponder, Billy Joe McLendon (Kayla); 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. McLendon's family gives love and appreciation to the Prisma CCIU/CCU Doctors, Nurses and Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations for expenses may be made to Virginia Richards at (803) 414-4600.
