Kathryn T. Sheppard

Leesville-Graveside service for Kathryn T. Sheppard will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Visitation will follow the graveside service.  Memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church, 2347 Summerland Highway, Leesville, SC 29070.  Barr-Price Funeral Home B-L Chapel is assisting the family.

  Mrs. Sheppard passed away Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Heritage Home at the Lowman Home in White Rock, SC. Born on May 18, 1922, to Jacob S. and Palm Corley Temples of Saluda, South Carolina.  Kathryn was a devoted mother who cherished her six children and all of her grandchildren and greats. She was a devoted member of Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church in Leesville, SC. Following two strokes in December of 2019 she went to live at the Lowman Home in White Rock.

   She is survived by her children, Edna S. Wheeler, Miriam S. Fisher, Brenda S. Durkan, Warren H. Sheppard (Joy) and Stephen P. Sheppard (Chris), son-in-law, Malcom D. Todd Jr. (Freda), grandchildren, Allison Toy, Ashley Toy Geiger (Pat), Michelle Todd Boinest (Ed), Kristen Sheppard, Jason Sheppard (Kathleen), Gary W. Todd (D’Ann), Chelsea S. Bishop (Mike), Bradley Sheppard (Kimberly), Joshua Sheppard, Michael Wheeler (Rachel) and Jason Wheeler. There are also beloved great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews across South Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Sheppard, daughter, Freda Sheppard Todd, sons-in-law, Tommy Wheeler and Ted Fisher, daughter-in-law Laura E. Sheppard.  

  The family would like to thank the staff of the Lowman Home and Cana Hall who took care of her.
