Kathey I. Lorick

Kathey I. Lorick, 73, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away peacefully in her home on April 18, 2026. She was born on July 25, 1952, in Dallas, Texas. Kathey was a devoted wife, sister, mother, and grandmother and she touched the hearts of everyone around her.

Kathey graduated from Mesquite High School in 1970. She worked in South Carolina State Government for 34 years and retired from University of South Carolina Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.  

Kathey is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John W. Lorick Jr.; her daughter, Jennifer Lorick Barwick; her granddaughter, Kaylee E. Barwick; and sisters, Cynthia L. Kinard and Terry K. Lorick.

She was predecesaed by her parents, Robert Inmon and Jewel Maurine Lorick; and brother, Michael Dale Lorick.

As we mourn her loss, we should also celebrate the heartwarming memories that were created with her.  The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Tamikia Best and to the staff of Interim Healthcare for the wonderful care they provided to Kathey.
