Josephine (Feret) Wojciehowski, 98, passed peacefully in her sleep and into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Agape Hospice in Lexington, S.C. Born December 19, 1922 in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of Michael and Karolina (Wojewodka) Feret. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund Wojciehowski, her sister Helen (Maydosz) and a brother Edward Feret.
Josephine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ben Wojciehowski and Nancy (Lapczynski) Wojciehowski, of Aberdeen, N.J.; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Wojciehowski) Holzschuh and Donald Holzschuh of Lexington, S.C.; her sister and brother-in-law, Dolores (Feret) Pogorzelski and Eugene Pogorzelski of East Amwell, N.J. ; grandchild, Amy Wojciehowski of Union Beach, N.J.; grandchild, Karoline (Holzschuh) Fossell and her husband Spenser Fossell of Lexington, S.C.; and two great grandchildren, Tucker James and Luke Jackson Fossell. All of whom brought out her best smile.
She was a loving mother who always put her family first making sure they were cared for. Josephine was a devout Catholic. Some of her favorite things were the simple pleasures of walking, playing Rummikub, and watching the N.Y. Yankees.
Josephine will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum in North Arlington, N.J. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in her memory to the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Hwy., Lexington, S.C. 29072. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
