The family of Joseph W. Mintz, Jr., age 88, will celebrate his life with a private graveside service in Lexington, South Carolina.
Mr. Mintz passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Born at Fort Bragg in Cumberland County, North Carolina, he was preceded in death by his father, Joseph W. Mintz, Sr.; his mother, Edna D. Mintz; and his sister, Hazel Efird (Lloyd).
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Bobbie A. Mintz; son, K. Steven Mintz; daughter, Debbi M. Morris (Mike); granddaughter, Amanda M. Justice (Thomas); great-grandchildren, Sawyer M. Justice and Dawson J. Justice; granddaughter, Ashlee E. Morris; granddaughter, Summers Ginsburg (Adam); great-grandchildren, Tulip F. Ginsburg and Yorick J. Ginsburg; daughter, Crystal M. Schroppe (Roger); grandchildren, J. Makenzie Schroppe and Haylie G. Schroppe.
He was a faithful member of Red Bank Baptist Church. His brave service to the U.S. Army was a proud part of his life.
Mr. Mintz was well-loved by his entire family and made an impact on the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a kind-hearted, Christian man who loved Jesus and his family dearly. He was a hard-working business owner, and an incredibly generous man. He was a wonderful husband, loving father, and strong family leader. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
